CNC Machinist

Job qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in setting up and running standard and or CNC equipment in the metal machining industry.
  • Able to manually edit programs at the machine.
  • Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations, and identify conformity of material requirements.
  • Strong mechanical understanding.
  • Understanding of and how to calculate machining speeds and feeds on various types of metallic and non-metallic materials.
  • Knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments required.
  • Ability to use Mastercam and AutoCAD fluently very desirable.
  • Self-motivated, strong team player, accept responsibility & accountability and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Highly motivated and posses good organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Results and customer service motivated.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Able to set up and run existing programs already written.
  • Create necessary changes to programs to produce a good part.
  • Make proper offset adjustments.
  • Must have own machinist tools.
  • Accomplishing manufacturing results as needed to scheduled dates.
  • Meeting financial and production standards by controlling and minimizing production costs.
  • Maintain work flow meeting customer order date expectations.
  • Maintaining quality customer service both internally and to the end user.
  • Insuring the output of a quality product.
  • Contribute to the team's effort.
